Imagine my surprise when I looked at the face, third from the right bottom row; my hub uses a sigil on his avatar's forehead almost exactly like that (three-pronged, round-bottomed flame) for his character in Second Life. Weird. Cool.

actually i beleive it to be quite common in the tattoo world, that kind of flame on the forehead.

*Really,* huh. Does it signify something specific among tat-folk, or has it archetypally burbled its way up to the forebrain coincidentally?

for some longer time I intent to make a piece of multiple faces, but I wanted to make all of them in a profile, so it would looks like a siluettes (it seems more easy to do, for not that skilled artist as me). This work reminded me of that concept... but probably it still will be put away for another time

that's an interesting idea, because I have a very weak image(visual?) memory, so I'd probably draw very... surreal things :giggle: gotta try it out :D thanks for the inspiration

The Edge Tattoo in South Windsor Connecticut, one of the artists is really into fantasy stuff, mostly pen and ink. He showed me his sketch book and one of the drawings was really similar

I really love these faces, how long did htis take may I ask? I myself counted five faces with hair if you go left to right starting on the first row and cotinuing on with the 2nd and 3rd #'s 5, 12, 15, 21 AND 22 have hair..I like angular # 21 myself the "x" like impresion on his left cheek is neat. VERY nice shading throughout the whole peice. I adore your pencil sketches.

yeah no problem, I was taken in by your doodles.

I don't know about you but I enjoy doodleing almost more than I enjoy doing a planned, and more complete piece. There is just something about the quickness and the freedom of a doodle as aposed to a work that I want to make "complete".
