This mini-tutorial is showing a breakdown of the parts of shadow and highlight falling over a curved surface.

Even though this is not a drawn tutorial it illustrates and points out the areas of light , shadow and reflected light that are necessary for the egg to look more realistic when you try to draw it.

Exercise: draw the egg as it is with one light overhead, then try drawing the same egg as you study the areas of light and shadow shown by the arrows.
