Sometimes people act differently than they should, I am not always the kindest person, but to have someone scream at you when you are a guest in their house, and acting like an ass in public. I know about Imagining science. One of my very favorite people here has been the brunt of the full force of their rudeness. I hope it never happens again for your sake.
